Ryten
A mountain walk to a ridge above Kvalvika beach, with wide views over sea and peaks.
A remote white-sand beach on the west coast, enclosed by steep mountains and reached on foot.
Kvalvika is a secluded beach on Moskenesøya's west side, set between cliffs and mountains. It is reached by a walk, so it feels far from the main road. People camp here in summer, and the sea is cold with a strong swell.
Take all your rubbish back with you and keep any fires out of the dunes.
The walk is on uneven, sometimes wet terrain. In winter check the avalanche warning at varsom.no, check weather and conditions, and turn back if in doubt. The sea can be dangerous.
