Ryten is the ridge overlooking Kvalvika beach on the west coast. The route is a longer walk on open ground and can be boggy in places. In clear weather the view over the beach and the coastline is dramatic, but it is exposed.
Allow generous time and bring warm layers; weather changes fast on the ridge.
Check weather and conditions on the day, bring proper footwear and layers, and turn back if in doubt.
Avalanche danger applies from autumn to late spring. Check the warning on varsom.no before any winter or spring trip, and check the weather forecast on the day.
